Meanwhile Real Salt Lake coming off a breathtaking win over Toronto FC 2-1 in which both Luke Mulholland and Jordan Allen scored headers off Javier Morales crosses. Allen, a homegrown youngster, scored his first MLS goal to go ahead in the 89th minute.
Jordan Allen told Mlssoccer.com
“I think I blacked out for like half a second just because there’s so much adrenaline and it was just a moment that I’ve been waiting for, for so long.”
Let’s hope Real comes with shared excitement as they will be slightly shorthanded up front due to an injury sustained by Sebastian Jamie. This leave an indecisive Olmes Garcia an opportunity to prove his worth on the road.
Luckily the international window is over and Real will have Nick Rimando, Alvaro Saborio, Elias Velasquez, Luis Gil, and Boyd Okwuonu. These deadly options will help Jeff Cassar handle the expected aggressive play of San Jose.Nov 9, 2014; Carson, CA, USA; Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando (18) yells to his teammates during the first half against the Los Angeles Galaxy at StubHub Center. Prediction: Real Salt Lake wins 1-0 over San Jose Quakes; the entire back line plays their best game so far this season, Alvaro Saborio scores his second goal of the season, and Nick Rimando wins Save of the Week.
